I'm a retired Registered Nurse, and a passionate Graphic Designer based in San Diego, CA.

I love all things computer-related and I found my calling when I discovered the art of Sublimation.

 

What exactly is sublimation? In simple terms, it's a process of high-tech printing that transfers a graphic design into a material such as ceramic or polymer (or fabric). Using sublimation ink on sublimation paper, heat is applied, along with pressure. When temperatures are around 400 degrees Fahrenheit, sublimation ink turns into a vapor state and infuses it's color into the substrate, and permanently embeds itself. It won't peel, crack, fade, or wash away. It's sort of like magic! (And the final reveal is so exciting)! So what's not to love?

Husband, George, is involved in every project made here at New-Mugs. He makes the final inspection, and gives his seal of approval to all items we produce. (It's always good to have a second opinion, you know)!
